natasha naomi is a dutch–danish artist based in wellington, new zealand

her work reflects a lifelong appreciation for natural materials, atmosphere and sensory experience alongside a long-held commitment to considered reuse of remnants from earlier works that might otherwise be discarded.

working across textiles and paper, she explores the complexities of being human alongside relationships between materials that balance fragility and substance — allowing expression to shift between disciplines rather than being defined

drawing from sensory imprint and olfactory association, memory is translated through atmosphere and tone as they interact in the moment. working within restrained muted palettes, tactility and material integrity become the primary visual language

her work is intended to exist on its own merits, where perception itself becomes the subject.
there is no prescribed interpretation, only an invitation to step closer
